Convert a year of client RAKBANK PDFs in one session. Clean AED rows, full descriptors, straight into Zoho Books or Xero.
Start convertingRAKBANK statements are among the simpler UAE retail and SME statements. AED only, English-dominant, single currency, clean tabular layout. The column structure — transaction date, posting date, description, debit, credit, balance — maps directly to the Zoho Books and Xero import template without column renaming.
For UAE accountants serving freelancers, sole traders, and small SMEs in the northern emirates, RAKBANK is one of the three or four banks you see most often. The conversion is fast and the categorisation work is mostly mechanical.
Some older RAKBANK statements are image-scanned PDFs rather than digitally generated. OCR confidence drops on faded print. Kashfbank flags low-confidence rows in the export so you can spot-check them against the source before importing.
The summary block at the end of the statement uses the same font as the transaction rows. Naive PDF parsers include it as a final transaction. Kashfbank excludes the summary so the row count matches the actual transaction count.
Standard columns, ready for Zoho Books, Xero, or QuickBooks import. Reference codes preserved for audit trail continuity.
Primarily English PDF. Some product descriptions in Arabic. Dates DD/MM/YYYY. Modern digitally generated layout: transaction date, posting date, description, debit, credit, balance. Account type, IBAN, and statement period clearly shown. Summary section at end shows total debits, credits, and closing balance. No multi-currency complexity for most retail accounts.
| Label | Meaning |

| POS PURCHASE | Card payment at merchant terminal |

UAE-based accountants using Zoho Books (UAE VAT edition) need the VAT column flagged; Kashf's Category field tags ZATCA-style VAT payment rows for easy filtering.
Collect client RAKBANK PDFs
Ask the client to pull the relevant months from RAKBANK Mobile or Digital Banking. Save all PDFs to a single folder.
Bulk upload
Drop all the PDFs into Kashfbank. Each is converted independently and labeled with its source filename.
Review flagged rows
Any row with low OCR confidence is flagged in the output. Compare against the source PDF and correct manually before export.
Export and import
Download each CSV. Import into Zoho Books or Xero via the bank feed upload. The duplicate-detection rules use Description and Amount, which we standardise.
Common challenges
Can I convert a year of RAKBANK statements in one session?
Yes. Upload twelve PDFs at once. Each is processed independently and labeled with the source filename. Download each as its own CSV or merge in Excel.
Does Kashfbank handle scanned (non-digital) RAKBANK PDFs?
Yes. We OCR scanned PDFs before extraction. Older RAKBANK statements are sometimes image-scanned. Faded print can drop row confidence — those rows are flagged.
Does the export preserve the transaction reference codes?
Where the RAKBANK PDF includes a reference (for ONLINE TRANSFER, DIRECT DEBIT), it is kept in the Description column. Not every retail row carries a reference.
Will the CSV import directly into Zoho Books UAE VAT edition?
Yes. The Date, Description, Debit, Credit columns match Zoho's bank statement import template. The Category column needs a manual map to your client's chart of accounts on first import.
